Our state legislature must be held responsible for the way it spends your money. In the past two years, the state’s budget has ballooned almost 20%, (over $900 Million) far outpacing what Iowan’s are seeing in their paychecks. The recent destruction and tragedy due to extreme weather around the state should serve as a reminder of why we must keep our emergency funds full and not operate outside our means.
