Since 2000, the price tag of a college education has increased by 348% in Iowa. Runaway increases in cost mean too many students graduate with piles of debt. An ever increasing number of students cannot afford college at all. We must ensure an affordable education for all Iowans so we have the skilled workforce needed to fill the jobs of the future. We must also strive for a world-class education for our children. Key to this will be fighting attempts to strip our local school boards of control and protecting and increasing school choices.
